The Tech Scene in Berlin

Berlin is a beautiful city with an incredible history. But it’s not just the historical buildings and landmarks that make Berlin special. Berlin is also home to a thriving tech scene that’s been attracting people from all over the world for years. It’s hard to say what the appeal of technology is, from spending some free time watching a show, or gambling a bit with the Paddy Power Games Bonus, technology makes our lives more interesting. The capital of Germany has long been known as a hub for innovation, making it an ideal location for tech companies to set up shop or relocate their businesses!

Technology hotspot

Berlin is a global hotspot for technology. The city has become known as a great place to start a tech company, as well as an ideal destination for talented developers and designers. In fact, over the past few years, many big name companies like Google and Facebook have set up offices in Berlin—and they’re not alone! Tech startups are flocking here too. Not only does this mean there’s plenty of opportunity when it comes to finding work; it also means that there’s plenty of diversity in terms of what kind of work you want to do there: whether you’re looking for something permanent or freelance-based could make all the difference!

It’s a young city, with a lot of people in their 20s and 30s hanging around. This is partly because of the sheer number of young people who have moved to Berlin to start their careers. There are also lots of tech companies in Berlin, so it makes sense that most people here will be in this age range. The majority of those I’ve met are in the 20-35 age group; some are older but not by much. If you want to meet likeminded techies and get advice on your startup ideas, this is likely your best bet!

While you may not have heard much about the tech industry in Berlin, it is thriving. In fact, there are more than 30,000 employees working in technology companies in Berlin alone. This number is an impressive one for a city that has only 1/20th of New York City’s population. The city boasts many startups and large companies alike that focus on technology and innovation. Some notable companies include SoundCloud and Delivery Hero (both founded by Alex Ljung), as well as Rocket Internet Group (founded by Oliver Samwer).

Record growth

The tech scene in Berlin has seen record growth in the past five years. The city has become a major hub for startups, attracting more and more people and companies to move there. According to TechCrunch, almost 12% of all startup funding in Germany went to Berlin-based companies last year alone.

The reason why this is happening is simple: Berlin’s cost of living is low compared to other European capitals such as London or Paris, but it still offers an excellent quality of life for those who have moved there.

If you’re planning a trip to Berlin, we hope this article has given you some insight into the city’s tech scene and how it can enhance your experience. If not, don’t worry! There are plenty of other things to do in Berlin that don’t involve technology at all.
