I really dig this guy's philosophy. I've been to Spirit Yoga and I've also seen the comedy sports, and both are absolutely amazing. Brian Kapell seems to have it all figured out....a beacon of light for those of us seeking our higher truths, and breeze of relief when we most need humor in our lives.

sorry man, but if you ask 98% of people that know whats going on with music in this city, they will tell you that "strings of life" is the most overplayed, and annoying song of all time. We especially HATE it when we bring in out of town artists who think they have to play that song. it sucks and most of us absolutely hate it.

Interesting article, thanks. I wish I had read this when it was posted. Instead I discovered Marie-Antoinette in October via one of its distinctive street posters advertising bands I didn't know but whose names, and the font (!), were promising. That's how desperate I was - I've returned numerous times since. I'm still plugging away at appreciating the standard (and usually quite good really) dance music played everywhere in Berlin, and it's nice to see big international touring bands cheaply in small places, but, fuck, it's been really great just to see some shit noisy bands and indulgent knob-twiddlers in a homely little place. Next: to investigate Madame Claude!
