Berlin Stories for NPR is a multimedia journal about the city broadcast on NPR Worldwide (104.1FM Berlin) and online all the time at berlinstories.org. LIKE our FACEBOOK page, or follow us on twitter @BerlinStoriesFM
In 2009, Berlin Stories was created by the novelist Anna Winger, as a radio series of short, personal pieces about the city. We have since recorded more than 100 Berlin Stories Originals for broadcast on NPR, read aloud by the authors who wrote them.
In 2012, Berlin Stories Magazine was born of a new collaboration between travel writer Gisela Williams, radio journalist Bilal Qureshi and Anna Winger. The one-hour show is hosted by Williams and Winger, and produced by Qureshi with additional reporting from Melanie Sevcenko.
The editors of past seasons of Berlin Stories Originals (still in rotation on the air and in our archive) are Ralph Martin and Anya Kinneavy. Berlin Stories Originals are currently edited by Victoria Gosling and produced by Melanie Sevcenko. To submit your story, please email Victoria a pitch at email@example.com
Our first special series, the prize-winning Detroit-Berlin Connection, was made by features reporter Martina Guzman in 2011 and produced in collaboration with WDET in Detroit and The German Marshall Fund.
Our fabulous logo comes from Christoph Niemann.
