Originals: Miriam Widman on a Jewish Home for the Elderly
Miriam Widman has more years of experience as a journalist than she cares to admit. In print she’s written for the International Herald Tribune, Business Week, The Local , Spiegel Online and Jewish Voice from Germany. In radio she’s produced for National Public Radio, Marketplace and The World. She recently performed one of her stories at This Berlin Life. Miriam has also done some stand up comedy in Portland, Oregon, where she lived for many years. She sometimes has trouble with math, but is good at languages and speaks German, French, Spanish and Teenager. Don’t worry about the latter. It’s easy to learn. There’s almost no vocabulary. Secret fact: She’s a licensed private investigator and has worked for many years in criminal defense.
