Originals: Esme Nicholson on Upping the Aunty
Esme Nicholson is NPR’s Central Europe Bureau producer and works together with NPR Correspondent and Bureau Chief Eric Westervelt to produce news and arts features for The Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Esme also works as a freelance television producer for the German arts show, 3sat Kulturzeit and for the nightly news programme, ZDF Heute Journal, covering the Cannes, Venice and Berlin film festivals. She is a contributor to the CD Review and children’s classical music shows on RBB Kulturradio, and has made museum podcasts for Antenna Audio / Discovery in Berlin. Born in Liverpool and brought up in Berkshire, England, she moved to Berlin after graduating from university in 2001.
