Alicia Oltuski received her MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and has taught memoir writing at the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia. Her book about diamonds, The Movement of Precious Objects, is forthcoming from Scribner.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this one. Very nice. Am definitely looking forward to reading the book about diamonds!

A chilling but wonderful story! It’s true, all the Jewish museums in Germany do seem to be Holocaust museums. . .but wouldn’t a museum that acknowledges German Jews w/o the Holocaust be criticized for denying the history? It’s good that you came and would also come back, the Germans have more than repented for their sins . . .hence all the Holocaust museums.
